The ESG Market Insight Report represents the first output of the CPEA EU ESG Working Group,
jointly developed during regular interactive sessions and through online surveys between May
2021 and September 2023. The overarching purpose of the report is to provide a snapshot of
where different European players within the construction and the real estate industry currently
stand in relation to ESG strategy development, implementation and related disclosures.
The aims of the report are:
- To increase understanding of the background, meaning and relevance of ESG amongst market participants, examining ESG drivers, challenges and potential solutions.
- To stimulate cross-border and cross-disciplinary debate.
- To position ESG within the context of existing and forthcoming EU legislation and other
industry-led initiatives.
